Looked for 5min in a mirror into my own eyes, sitting. Hugged a tree and wandered around for 10min in a wood at a resting place next to a highway. Tried to DN while driving on the highway for 10min and 5min.

To think nothing and drive automatically AND Do Dothing is not a good combination, or a successful one, at least on this day. And technically wrong because I have a purpose and am actively driving from A to B. I got distracted easily and did not manage to do DN well. The mirror was interesting because I lost focus and the whole scenery and my perception of myslef shifted when I got deeper into DN. The background got blurry and it flickered slowly, almost an psychodelic effect. Interesting. The wood I just explored a bit because of DN. Normally I would have moved on quickly, but the trees and the wind and nice paved paths invited me to stay a bit. So DN „shows“ you places.

I do not look properly at myself normally. the quick check in the morning or before going to bed or while toothbrushing is not enough to grasp my own presence better. You have to take time and DN, then it starts a remakable feeling of resonance changing the way I looked at me and what I „saw“. I need more time with this.

Very good even though I did not spend much time on it. Was tempted to count longer passages of driving in, but that would not be precise and violate the rules. A bit, 15min in a 8h drive are ok, I guess.

BEFORE: Driven. Packing. Making me and the flat ready for leaving. Tense, but giving space an time still. Unusal, normally I am more hectic and unhappy.
WHILE: Very good, indeed. I liked the small mirror experiment which immediately showed something. We do not look in the mirror normally to „speak“ to ourselves, but to use the mirror for a purpose, beauty, hygiene etc. To use it for what it is to see that you are THERE; living and LOOKING is intense.
AFTER: Good. Had no longer the impact that I felt on that day, but at least was something and I am not forgetting it or disregarding the experiment. I digs in. It starts to spread some impact, more slowly – I feel even though I can´t really tell what it is exactly…

Not only shifting the mental gear into neutral is needed, but also composure, concentration.. Changing the Mind-Mode from normal thinking into attention and No-Mind, away from thinking..
